"Generations: The Legacy" leading man Rapulana Seiphemo has for the first time broken his silence after suffering a fatal car crash a few months ago.

After a social media hiatus, Seiphemo took to Instagram to jot down a lengthy note in which he thanked fans for their support throughout the dark days.

“As you all know by now, I went through a traumatic incident a number of months ago. I am well on my way to recovery; a recovery that would not have been possible without the thoughts and prayers of so many of you: my supporters, family and friends,” Seiphemo writes down.

“I would like to thank you all from the bottom of my heart. It was something that could have destroyed me, but I hope and inspiration from all of you. I am blessed and grateful to be surrounded by all of you.”

Through the official website, Generations: The Legacy revealed that Seiphemo in back on set on Wednesday morning and expressed their gratitude to fans in a statement.

Seiphemo’s character has been off screen for some weeks now.

“Our much loved Tau Mogale is back and we are very excited to have him back. As we all know the actor behind Tau Mogale, Rapulana Seiphemo was in a car accident that nearly cost him his life,” the statement read.

“We would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for the well wishes and prayers.”

Seiphemo was involved in an alleged hijacking on the N14 near Diepsloot on February 14. Seiphemo reportedly lost control of his Audi A4 during the incident, causing an accident that left three people dead.
