Mzansi's Sexiest - Here are the leading contenders
Sowetan LIVE and Sunday World readers are voting for their pick of Mzansi's Sexiest 2013 celebrities. So far, six celebrities have come out as favourites.
Readers have been voting for celebrities based on their sexiness, their charming smiles, their cheeky personalities and sweeping confidence.
- The three favourite females so far are Ellen Mahlangu, Boitumelo Thulo and Gail Nkoane.
Mahlangu was the first black woman to win SA's Next Top Model in 2008. She also won FHM's 2012 model competition.
Thulo walked away with Mzansi's Sexiest 2012 title while Nkoane appears on TV screens daily as Lelo Sedibe in M-Net soapie The Wild.
Babalwa Mneno, Boledi Makofane, Khanya Mkangisa, Luthando Shosha, Lerato Kganyago, Phumeza Dlwati, Tema Sebopedi, Tumi Voster and Zenande Mfenyana are also part of the top female contenders.
- The men that have been garnering immense popularity are actor Melusi Yeni, rapper AKA and Big Brother Africa Star winner Keagan Petersen.
Yeni has featured in many TV series and currently plays the role of Phenyo in Generations.
AKA, real name Kiernan Forbes, took home numerous Metro FM awards for his music. This year, he's got his fans going crazy with his new hit Jealousy.
Cape Town-born Petersen won many hearts as Big Brother Africa Star's 2012 winner.
C-ga Bopha, Da L.E.S, Dylan "Blayze" King, J'Something, Jonaid Carrera, Lee Stemmet and Morgan Gould, Sandile Sibande, Yackoob Nana, round out the leading male contenders of the competition.
Voting ends 30 October 2012. Top 12 revealed on 1 November.
