Primrose is up there with the best

AFTER snatching her husband back from the claws of gold digger Khanyi Mbau, Primrose Crous is today one up in the beauty stakes

Placed in the top six of the sexiest women in South Africa, Primrose beat Mbau by a lot of votes in the Sowetan Live Sexiest Celebrities in Mzansi competition.

Mbau could only manage the 12th spot.

The competition was won by former SABC1 continuity presented Sello "Mbuzana" Nyathi and Generations actress Kagiso Rakosa.

Asked how she felt about beating Mbau, the media-shy Primrose said she had nothing to say about her.

"Khanyi does not define who I am. I made her famous. Her fame was going down when she met us and tried to steal my husband."

She added that she and her husband were still patching things up "after the mess done by Khanyi".

"He is now the kind of man that I met. He still loves me and we are happy.

"We are enjoying all things that married couples do - including sex," she said, rearranging her three-carat diamond ring.

Primrose met her husband Theunis Crous where she worked as a shop assistant in Bloemfontein in 2002 when she was only 23. They dated for four years before getting married.

"He was my first white boyfriend. When we met I was dating an Indian man. He told me that he loved me and wanted me to be the mother of his children."

She added that her husband was happy about her achievement.

Theunis has been drumming up support for her on Twitter. In one of the tweets, he wrote: "My beautiful lovely wife, Mzansi's finest, Please vote @Sowetanlive."

Asked what Theunis thought was sexy about her, she said: "He always tells me that my eyes are sexy."

The final Top 12 of Mzansi's Sexiest included Zizo Beda, Shona Ferguson, Minnie Dlamini, Tshego "Vortex" Malepe, Mmabatho Montsho, Moeti Tsiki, Zolisa Xaluva and Sisa Hewana.

Trevor Noah, who also featured on the list, was pulled out "because he was difficult to deal with".

Sowetan Live's Bongiwe Khumalo said: "He (Trevor) said he did not want to be part of the calendar because he is not a model."
