Mbali Who? is how educators at Hoërskool Roodepoort reacted when asked about one of their pupils Mbali Sikwane who is trending because of her involvement in Mzansi's latest hit song Tholukuthi Hey.

Teachers at this Joburg school are not aware that Sikwani's vocals have been making people lose themselves on the dance floors with the overnight hit song.

Sikwane, 16, is featured on Killer Kau and DJ Euphonik's hit song after her video of an online dance challenge went viral earlier this month.

The school clerk and principal were shocked to learn that they had a singing sensation on their premises.

They, however, declined to comment on Sikwane's school performance or behaviour.

"For us to speak about the child, her parents need to give written permission to the school," said principal Johan van Jaarsveldt.

Mbali's mother, Elsie Sithebe, said her daughter's overnight fame did not surprise her because she is a bubbly child.
