Muvhango actress and Joyous Celebration singer Ntokozo Mbambo's uncle Arthur Mbambo had a black Christmas after an alleged racial attack left him black and blue late last year.

Mbambo, a veteran actor who also appears on Muvhango, said the vicious attack happened on December 19 while he was doing a cellphone sim card swap at an MTN store in Brakpan, Ekurhuleni.

"I walked into the cellphone shop to do a sim swap but they were out of stock," he said.

"The consultant asked me to go and buy it elsewhere and come back so they can help me activate and Rica it.

"The consultant advised me not to start at the back of the queue when I got back as I had been there already.

"Upon my return, the queue was longer and I tried to make other people in the queue aware that I was not jumping the queue." he said.

Mbambo, who plays the father of Thandaza (Sindi Dlathu) on the SABC2 soapie, said while he was still explaining, a white woman complained that he was cheating by not standing at the back of the queue.
