Idols SA judge and musician Unathi Msengana has heaped praise on veteran kwaito artist Zola.

The pair took to the stage together at the finale of Idols SA on Sunday and drew massive applause from the audience.

Unathi couldn’t stop smiling as she performed with her friend and idol.

The pair have both been criticised on social media in the past‚ including over their performance at the finale.

Unathi took to Instagram after the performance to share the encouragement that Zola gave her.

“He says to me ‘Nhanha very few people can say they have song of the year yet we are so hard on ourselves.’ I love him for so many reasons...I’m just lost for words! I owe my music career‚ idols‚ etc ( to him)” she wrote.
