The Game ordered to pay over R100 million in sexual assault case

Popular US rapper The Game has reportedly been ordered to pay $7.13 million (over R100 million) after losing a sexual assault lawsuit brought against him.

According to TMZ‚ an Illinois court ruled in favour of a woman who accused him of sexually assaulting her while filming a reality show in 2015.

Priscilla Rainey filed a $10 million ( over R141 million) lawsuit against The Game last year. She claimed the rapper was “out of control‚ drunk and on drugs” during the shooting of the show and apparently forcefully put his hands down her dress to rub her private bits and bum. The rapper’s team denied the claims.

The court found The Game guilty but did not grant the full amount. Instead‚ it slapped the rapper with the $7.13million bill.

E! News has reported that the rapper plans to appeal the ruling.
