Gareth Cliff confirmed this week that he would be leaving Idols as a judge on the show after 11 seasons.

His announcement wasn’t much of a shock considering the rollercoaster year he had with his employer‚ M-Net.

Gareth was fired as a judge on the show after comments he made during the Penny Sparrow race debacle.

M-Net first issued a statement saying it was reviewing his future work on the show only to later confirm that he had been fired.

Gareth took the matter to court and won‚ with M-Net having to pay costs.

The media boss was reinstated and although many suspected that M-Net would show him the door at the end of this season‚ Gareth got there first and resigned.

Now Gareth has confirmed that he is due to release a book at the end of November and insiders tell us that the Idols debacle will “most certainly be included“.

Our sources tell us that the juice that you could expect would include how Gareth was under the impression that he and M-Net were still “in the process of resolving things when they sent out a statement saying he was fired“.

Spicy.

But don’t expect that to be the only goss he’ll spill. Remember how he suddenly left 5FM?

Yes‚ there’s that!

Cannot wait.
