Rhythm City actress Samkelo Ndlovu has some strong words for women who feel the need to ‘impress men’ by acting differently.

Samu‚ who never minces her words when it comes to issues that she feels strongly about‚ says that women should never feel the need to be a certain way for men.

The debate was sparked after a friend asked her if she acts ‘differently’ around guys.

Taking to social media Samu explained that she went off at her friend who questioned her about being “unapologetically crass” and “sarcastic.”

“Why the hell am I living my life to impress men? Why the hell am I existing for a mans approval?‚” Samu said.

The actress explained that she feels passionate about women learning to celebrate themselves instead of waiting for a man’s approval.

“Because why aren’t men taught the same? To behave in a way that says ‘women are watching’ or ‘what will women think of you’ - I exist. “

Samu added that it’s about time that women start existing for themselves.

“Celebrate yourself and stop waiting for men to. Be yourself in all your glory without having the man to say you are.”
