There is still no word on whether Generations: The Legacy actor Rapulana Seiphemo will face police charges‚ after a fatal car crash which left him critically injured and claimed the lives of two others on 14 February.

Speaking to TMG Entertainment on Tuesday SAPS spokesman Tsekiso Mofokeng said that investigations into the cause of the accident is ongoing.

“I can confirm that the investigation is ongoing. One case of armed robbery and one case of culpable homicide is currently being investigated and once blood test results and scientific research is received‚ there will be a clearer indication of who will be charged‚” said Mofokeng.

Rapulana was involved in a fatal crash on the N14 near Diepsloot on 14 February when two vehicles collided. Shortly after the accident hit news wires it emerged that it might have been a ‘hijacking’ gone wrong‚ but this is yet to be confirmed by police. At the time officials did confirm that one person was being kept under police guard.

Meanwhile‚ Rapulana who had to undergo surgery but was released a few days after the accident‚ has been recovering at home and is expected to return back to work early next month.

Speaking to TMG Entertainment Generations:The Legacy publicist‚ Gaaratwe Mokhethi confirmed that they are excited about having Rapulana back on set.

“Rapulana will be back on set in in next two weeks‚ and we are very excited. He’s been up and about‚ and has been one of those miraculous recoveries‚” Gaaratwe said.

Gaaratwe also shut down any questions over Rapulana’s future at the soapie. “Rapulana is one of our key players‚ and our first priority was naturally to make sure that his health was in order before he returned.”

Even though the actor will be returning to work he is apparently not yet fully recovered and will be taking medication at work.
