Sowetan LIVE had a quick catch up with the sexiest lady in the land, Thandi ‘Blue’ Mbombo.
Since winning the title of Mzansi’s sexiest celebrity for 2016 alongside the ‘hunkalicious’ Vuyo Dabula, Blue’s star has been on the rise.
“There has been so much impact on my career since winning ‘Mzansi’sSexiest’. I’ve got deals that I’ve signed already only because of that and the emails I get all start of with congratulations on winning ‘Mzansi’s Sexiest’ and because of this we would like you to be part of this campaign we’re working on. There’s so much that has happened it has opened many doors for me,” she said.

The Duchess as her fans call her confirmed that she has got a new hosting gig. She’ll be MC’ing at PRIDE Weekend a live music and comedy Show in Carnival City.
Blue will be Mcing alongside comedian Tumi ‘Stopnonsense’ and will make way for Toll A$$ Mo on the second day of the event.
Blue promises that her preferred designer Skhalo is currently ‘cooking up’ a fabulous outfit for her. She also hinted that there might be an outfit change or two. The Duchess promises to be her normal ‘bubbly self’ with a few jokes thrown in ‘here and there’ and she’s going to bring ‘positive energy’ to the stage.
“This is a big event, the second big event I’ve MC’d, I’m so excited about it, I’m proud of myself. Hopefully after this there will be more gigs coming,” she said.
The Soil and Mafikizolo, comedy improv kings and Trevor Gumbi are some of the acts you can look forward to seeing at the event.
PRIDE Weekend will take place on 11 and 12 March 2016.
Diski Divas
Blue is currently on local reality TV show, Diski Divas.
There’s been a bit of controversy within the show and the most recent is around one of the stars, Promise Zondo.
Zondo has been ordered by lawyers to stop using an alleged ex’s name as he claims they have never been in a relationship.
When asked what her thoughts were on this issue Blue commented that she knew nothing about it.
“I’m only friends with Felicia, the rest of the girls we’re just colleagues, we don’t talk much about our personal lives. The only time that I meet Promise is when we’re shooting together. I don’t know if they’re really dating or whether she lied or not.”
