Tema fulfills destiny of multitasking jobs

Sport commentator and radio personality Thabiso "TT" Tema will not ditch his current jobs as he takes over the reins at the glossy Destiny Man magazine.

Tema commentates for SuperSport and presents Power Drive with Hajra Omarjee on Power FM. He has 19 years broadcasting experience.

"I am not planning to drop any of the things I do. I have added a new chore and will just adjust my time accordingly. But I am used to multitasking, it shouldn't be a problem," he said.

Tema will join the magazine team on Monday as he takes over from Mzolisi "Mzo" Witbooi who had a short stint as editor.

Tema said he was well positioned to tackle the deadline-driven industry of magazines and said he found the challenge "fascinating".

He has worked for SAfm, Metro FM, Classic FM, BBC Radio and eNCA.

Tema also revealed that when he was approached by the magazine he did not just fall for the offer but had to understand what was expected from him.

"When I was approached, we sat down and they explained my role. It was after that I decided to take the offer. I took it to add a bit of print and digital journalism to my profile."

According to the magazine, Tema was the perfect man to steer the voice of the Destiny Man brand and ensure that its business and lifestyle content remained relevant to its dynamic readers.

Khanyi Dhlomo, CEO of Ndalo Media, said: "We are very excited to have Thabiso on board. Ndalo Media is sure to benefit from his diverse journalistic experience, his understanding of who the modern, black, bold and distinguished man is and his incredible potential to add a dynamic voice to the publication and ensure that it remains top of mind for its existing and potential readers."
