Cassper Nyovest #FillUpTheDome coverage: Journalists have their say

South African entertainment journalists took to Twitter on Tuesday to respond to rapper Refiloe Phoolo aka Cassper Nyovest's claims that media did not cover his #FillUpTheDome concert.

This comes after the rapper and his team took to Twitter and various radio stations to lambast  local media over what they termed 'a failure to recognise black success'.

Cassper tweeted: "The president recognized us before your local news paper. But when they make up their lies about us we are front page. MXM"

Another Twitter user then asked if the 'Phuma kim' rapper's company Family Tree had made any efforts to invite the media, to which he responded: "Does the media get invites to our private lives? No, but they write front page lies about them every 2 weeks!!!"

That did not sit well with journalists.

Scribes from Sunday Sun, Daily Sun, Business Day, Sunday Times, The Times, The Citizen, Sowetan LIVE and more, hit back at Cassper Nyovest and his team citing errors the Public Relations team made.

These varied from the team's failure to organise media accreditations to the ill treatment and lack of communication from the organisers.
