Cassper Nyovest's dream of filling up the TicketPro Dome is finally coming to life.

When he started talking about wishing to have the venue, which can carry about 20 000, filled to capacity, a lot of people thought he was out of his mind.

With just over two weeks to go about 16 000 tickets have been sold and among the ticket buyers are renowned celebrities like DJ Zinhle, Mbali Mhlotshwa and Sports Minister Fikile Mbalula.

At a press conference held this afternoon, Cassper said that only 4 000 general tickets were remaining and the golden circle has already been sold out.

Although that might seem to be a lot of money in his pockets, the 24 year-old has revealed that he is actually losing money.

He said that booking the venue cost him R4.2million while the tickets sales will only make him just over R3million. He is sitting with a shortfall of just under a million Rand.

"I'm not making any money from #FillUpTheDome, I'm losing money from The Dome but for me its 'how many kids am I going to inspire?'. There's people who inspired me like Kanye West, HHP, those are the people who made sacrifices for their own lives and their story has inspired me to make something of myself," he said urging other artists to look at ways to inspire people.

Although there will be other acts supporting Cassper on 31 October such as Riky Rick, Black Motion and Black Coffee, he has made it clear that the event is about him. When people buy tickets, they have to buy them to see him.

He said that Fill Up The Dome is a stepping stone to a more bigger dream that he and his friends which include Riky Rick and Major League DJz want to realise.

"Going forth, I'm pulling out of shows that I was booked for, I don't want to perform at festivals where there's 15 DJs anymore and I'm losing revenue. We are starting up our own tours for next year where we're gonna take the experience of Fill Up The Dome to different parts of the country.

"You know there's kids in QwaQwa who'll never see a production like this because they can't come to The Dome but we wanna take it to the people and that's the next step and we moving more into the international space."
