Black Coffee to perform at Cassper Nyovest’s  #FillUpTheDome concert

Cassper Nyovest, real name Refiloe Phoolo may be a dreamer but he is also realist when it comes to his dream to host a sold out concert the Ticketpro Dome in Johannesburg.

Cassper Nyovest has revealed to Sowetan LIVE that he has no intentions of filling up The Dome, which accommodates about 20 000 people, by himself.

Nyovest said that he will be featuring both local and international artists on the night.

“There will be a lot of supporting acts, the actual concept of The Dome is just to show people how we have South African stars that we can appreciate as much as we appreciate the western culture and the American rappers,” explained the rapper.

“This is in no way me trying to be egotistic or me trying to be selfish with the platform. I know that I’ve got an idea and if any South African act who matters at this time wants to help me or wants to be the supporting act I would gladly appreciate that.”

Cassper Nyovest has also revealed that house music legend DJ Black Coffee will be part of the countless artists set to perform on the night.

“Black Coffee has already reached out to me saying that he would love to come perform on the night,” he said.

Nyovest is currently doing a photo-shoot to show people how big the place is and the amount of people it would require to fill it up.

He has however, as expected, come under a lot of fire from other artists and the general public who have questioned the authenticity of his ‘dream’.

“I’m not bothered about people who are negative because I’m used to it. When I was making my album and when I was releasing my album I got the same type of response from people because I was different,” he said.

He chooses to rather see all the talk about the upcoming event as a good sign.

The tickets, which will cost patrons R200 for general and R320 for golden circle, are expected to go on sale on August 1 at PostNet and Ticketpro.co.za
