Bonang Matheba and Poppy Ntshongwana up for Kids’ Choice Award

TV/Radio Personality and Model Bonang Matheba and radio personalities Darren Simpson, Poppy Ntshongwana and Roger Goode have been nominated in 2015 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards.

The four have been nominated in the ’Favourite South African radio DJ’ category.

The event honours the year's biggest television, movie, and music acts, as voted by Nickelodeon viewers. Winners get presented with a hollow orange blimp figurine which also functions as a kaleidoscope.

South Africa and Nigeria are the only African countries featured in the nominations.

“I’ve been nominated for a Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Award!! IMAGINE THAT?! I’m actually a little gobsmacked. A big thank you to Metro FM for the wonderful platform & my fab team- no man is an island!! To God Be The Glory! Tnx NICKELODEON! Please vote for me,” Matheba posted on Instagram upon receiving the news yesterday.

Nickelodeon’s 28th Annual Kids’ Choice Awards will be held on March 28, 2015, at the Forum in Inglewood, California and hosted by Nick Jonas.
