Do you have what it takes to be a power couple?

Power Couple SA – a brand-new and exciting reality game show will be making its first English market entry when the show kicks off in August featuring eight “ super-couples”.

M-Net launched the series “that will put couples to the test” this past Tuesday at The Bay Hotel in Cape Town. The show has already been aired in Israel, Portugal and is currently creating a storm in sunny Brazil.

Set to shoot over five weeks, the 14 episode show will be filmed entirely in Cape Town from March and will be screened on the channel starting this August.

Auditions for the show kick off on Valentine's Day at the Bay Hotel in Cape Town, heading to Moses Mabhida Stadium (Durban) on 18 February and ending off on 28 February at the Indaba Hotel, Johannesburg.

While the couples live together in a luxurious Cape Town villa for the duration of the show, they will compete in nerve-wrecking challenges, during which they have to demonstrate how much they know, trust or love each other.

Based on challenging tasks, two couples will be up for elimination each week and the others will decide whom they would like to keep in the game.

Among the celebrity couples who were at the launch were racing driver Gugu and his wife Letshego Zulu, TV and Radio personality Elana Afrika-Bredenkamp and husband Ian Bredenkamp.

M-Net’s Director for M-Net 101 and M-Net Edge says Power Couple is a revolutionary concept that combines all the elements needed for compelling television. “Becoming SA’s first Power Couple will be about more than being brave and courageous in the challenges. You’ll have to use your EQ and IQ to ensure that the other couples don’t get rid of you, while strategising to stay ahead of the others at all times.”

Other celebrity couples who have already lend their faces to the pay channel promo advert are Lalla Hirayama and boyfriend Chris Nkosi, Heinz Winckler and wife Alette-Johanni, Zuraida Jardine and Josh Lindberg.

Feel the need to show mzansi that you know your partner and stand in line to make loads of cash in the process? Download the entry form on the M-Net website, and be ready to impress at the auditions.
