Sofia Vergara has revealed her boyfriend Joe Manganiello injured his arm when a stripping routine for his new movie 'Magic Mike XXl' went wrong.

The 37-year-old actor plays male stripper Big Dick Richie in the sequel to the 2012 film but things didn't go smoothly during one erotic dance routine.

During an appearance on 'Conan', Sofia said: ''It's dangerous to be a stripper. I thought it was just fun and games, but no. He had a problem with his arm because he was doing some crazy stripper routine and the girl he was with doing the (stripping) for, did something wrong and things went wrong so he got hurt.''

Apart from his mishap, Sofia was impressed with her man's moves for the movie. And the 'Modern Family' star didn't realise Joe was such a great dancer until he started training for his role in the film - which also stars Channing Tatum, Matt Bomer and Jada Pinkett Smith.

Sofia, 42, said: ''I didn't know he could dance like that. He did a lot of crazy things on the movie.'' The couple have been together since July and started dating shortly after the actress broke off her engagement to businessman Nick Loeb.

Joe had previously admitted she was his ideal woman, saying in an interview: ''She's got that Latin thing going. She's got the butt, she's got curves, she's got a beautiful face, beautiful hair, just gorgeous and she's feisty.''
