Sandra Bullock was quick to react when one of the extras on the New Orleans set of her new movie 'Our Brand is Crisis' collapsed on Sunday (26.10.14).

The 50-year-old star was quick to help out when one of the extras in her new movie 'Our Brand is Crisis' slumped to the ground on Sunday (26.10.14), so the brunette made sure she was comfortable by fanning her and giving her water until the emergency services arrived.

According to gossip website TMZ, the fallen woman was thought to have suffered heat stroke and was taken in an ambulance to a nearby hospital in New Orleans, where the motion picture is being filmed. Billy Bob Thornton was also spotted watching on as Sandra got to work on the extra.

Following the incident, eyewitnesses reported seeing a lack of action on the movie set on Monday (27.10.14) but the cast and crew were back shooting the film on Tuesday (28.10.14).

Sandra is thought to be portraying a retired political consultant in the comedy/drama movie, which is about the American political campaign strategies used in the 2002 Bolivian presidential election.

The actress' helpful antics on the set of the movie is not her only recent brush with medicine after she portrayed medical engineer Dr. Ryan Stone in 2013 film 'Gravity', which won seven Academy Awards earlier this year.
