Eminent DJ Vinny Da Vinci takes house music to another level with his 10th offering of Deep House.

Vinny is ready to pin down his 15 years of amazing deep house compilations into its final bag with this 10th album.

He has officially marked it as the last series of the House Afrika deep house sounds, leaving the door open for new opportunities.

“When working on this album, I felt like this is the last and I have reached a milestone. No one in this country did 10 volumes of a series.”

“I think its time to change, I need to take it to a step further, even though I will still be doing deep house I am ready to open new doors,” Vinny said.

Just like his previous offerings he stays true to the niche of his sound, hardly following trends but always faithful to what he does best.

In his latest release the first song ‘Times Ahead’, opens up the journey with melodious sounds and as tracks go the beats climax and get deeper.

The Metro fm DJ has mastered the technique of keeping listeners tuned in from the first song to the last without getting the urge to skip tracks.

It’s quiet hard to script down the life of an excelling DJ that has been in the game for more than two decades, releasing hit after hit, he is the ultimate king of deep house.

Having a chat about his career, music and experience he says the new house is mainly about trends and people have lost uniqueness in what they do.

“People see this life as an escape or luxury life, many get into the industry for the wrong reason for fame or girls.”

“For me, Oskido, Christo’s, DJ Fresh we had passion for this and it was just a hobby little did I know I would be in this multimillion dollar industry as a career,” Vinny said.

Today new house music is about trends he adds: “There is no creativity in music people want trends and it’s killing the scene, they are replicating there is less of unique sounds.”

“If you go to a hip hop gig, you will find different DJs playlist the same songs over and over, one thing about deep house music there is variety and you are able to hear a different set without repetition.”

Vinny believes that if DJ’s strive for passion before money, girls and fame they will go far.

“In any kind of industry As long as you love what you do, you will go far, passion goes a long way.”

Rhythm festival

Vinny will be spinning the decks at the Rhythm festival to be held at the Bloemfontein show grounds on the 10th of October 2014.
