Who would have thought that Idols judge, Unathi Msengana, could be the ultimate ‘wooden mic.’

The singer did not impress much after her live performance during the Idols show last night.

For most viewers, bad singing could not be excused and twitter was not letting her getaway with it.

Tweeples had a lot to say about the duet between Unathi and American singer Gordon Chambers.

During her performance the judge murmured throughout the song and at points the backing vocalists were louder than her.

Idols fans came with guns blazing for fellow judges; Randall Abrahams and Gareth Cliff. They called them hypocrites for not speaking about Unathi’s bad singing.

Pabee Seeletso ‏@PabeeSays wrote: “Randall & Gareth are hypocrites. They sit there every Sunday & tell people how bad their singing is, but they can’t tell Unathi? Sies #IdolsSA.” (sic)

The Metro FM presenter has three albums under her belt, she was also featured in Zola’s hit single “Sana Lwam”, a song that helped kick off her singing career back in 2002.
