Mariah Carey has had a confidentiality agreement put in place which bans Nick Cannon from speaking publicly about their divorce.
The 44-year-old singer has reportedly slapped the 'America's Got Talent' host with a confidentiality agreement, which could see him hit with financial penalties if he violates the contract.
A source told TMZ.com: ''Nick and Mariah's lawyers hashed out a confidentiality agreement as part of their divorce ... and it's completely one-sided.'' It is believed Mariah - who has four-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe with her spouse - is allowed to announce details of their divorce on her terms.
The 33-year-old hunk has already confirmed that he and Mariah - whom he married in 2008 - have been living in separate houses ''for a few months.'' He said yesterday (21.08.14): ''There is trouble in paradise. We have been living in separate houses for a few months.
My main focus is my kids.'' Meanwhile, the former couple's lawyers are currently in talks about a custody agreement for Moroccan and Monroe, as well as a property settlement. Friends of Mariah and Nick, who put their New York mansion up for sale in June, believe their six-year marriage began to break-down after the host revealed that he'd previously slept with five famous women, including Kim Kardashian, during an appearance on a US radio show in March.
