Keyshawn Johnson insists he is not responsible for the mould in the home he sold Kourtney Kardashian that forced her to flee the house amid concerns it could negatively impact the health of her children and unborn baby.

The former NFL star has hit back at the pregnant 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star and her boyfriend, Scott Disick - who fled the $8.5 million mansion in Calabasas, California with their children, Mason, four, and Penelople, two, last night (18.08.14) after their interior decorator discovered dangerous fungus on the walls - amid rumours the couple are preparing to sue because they believe the problem was deliberately covered-up with paint before they purchased the house earlier this year.

The 42-year-old athlete told gossip website TMZ.com in a statement through his lawyer: ''There was no water damage to the house I sold to Ms. Kardashian. It is a new home that I built less than 10 years ago. It never had any water or mould problems. Prior to sale, the house was thoroughly inspected by excellent, experienced inspectors that they hired.

I don't know what has transpired since they moved into the house but I wish them well.'' Another insider said Keyshawn never painted anything while he was living in the property for less than three years and believes the mould developed when a bathroom pipe leaked in the wall after the sale was finalised.

The source also insists Keyshawn lived in the house with his two children so would never knowingly have exposed his own family to the mould and claims Kourtney has been a nuisance since she moved in, contacting him at least 10 times to ask further questions.

The brunette beauty decided to check into a Beverly Hills hotel with her family last night, as she is concerned the mould could negatively impact the health of her children and unborn baby.
