Tonight fans will get to experience a one hour special dedicated to the pop legend’s memory as local artists including her son Bongani Fassie and Vusi Nova pay tribute to her.

The music special will be broadcast live from the Johannesburg Urban Brew Studios on SABC 1’s Live Amp at 9pm tonight.

The event will also serve as the official launch of the Brenda Fassie Legacy Tour which will take place across all nine provinces till the end of the year.

The tour will feature a number of events such as the release of a 100 minute song 'Weekend special' featuring 40 local and international artists, a photographic exhibition, a talent search tour and a remembrance service.
