Trio jazz up the night

OPERA trio the Afro Tenors mesmerised audiences at the Oude Meeste Ekurhuleni Comes Alive jazz evening on Friday.

The group of Agos Moagi, Lucky Sibande and Given Mabena belted out crowd favourites such as Andingo Wakho and Asimbonanga, among others.

Sibande says the group is fortunate to make a living off their melodic voices. "It has been 15 years of blessings and we are proud to have travelled to 54 countries in this period that we have been singing professionally," he says.

Main act Gloria Bosman took the stage just before midnight and kept the audience captivated with her mellifluous voice.

Newcomer Ayanda Khumalo, Sibongile Khumalo's daughter, held her own with her bubbly personality.

Comedian Kedibone's set left the audience in stitches.
