Proudly South African was established in 2001, born out of the 1998 Presidential Job Summit convened.
"I am honoured and words fail to describe the warmth I get from my fans in this country," D'Banj said. "I am looking forward to having more than 6.6-billion viewers globally watch my performance."
D'Banj will share the stage with local acts including Micasa, Kelly Khumalo, Zonke Dikana, and Thembisile Ntaka. Micasa's frontman, J Something, whose real name is Joao da Fonseca, - said for the group, just being on that stage was a blessing in itself.
"Representing our country and Africa as a whole is an honour, and - for such a big show, it does not matter whether we are performing our songs," said the colleague of other Micasa stars, Dr Duda (Sipho Mphahlaza) and Mo T (Moshe Kgasoane).
An equally excited Kelly Khumalo also said it was an honour to be in the line-up.
"Finally, the world will get to see what I am capable of," she said. - firstname.lastname@example.org
