The 'Mean Girls' actress once lost the key and after calling a locksmith was so embarrassed when he opened the box, she showed him some of the contents out of nervousness.

A source told America's OK! magazine: It's an open secret that Lindsay has a locked trunk in her bedroom that's full of sex toys. One day she lost the key and had to call the locksmith. She freaked out and was so worked up when it was finally opened that she showed him some of her playthings out of nervousness. The guy cracked a joke and quickly left."

Lindsay has previously spoken of her belief that sex is a "part of nature" and thinks it is important to stay in tune with her own desires as it helps her confidence.

She said: "Sex and sexuality are a part of nature, and I go along with nature. Knowing yourself and your body is so important because it gives you confidence, and in life, women need confidence.

"It's a very male-dominated world to begin with, so knowing yourself and being comfortable with your body is an important thing for me as a woman."
