The 'Cloud Atlas' star is set to marry Olivier Martinez, but before she does is planning to move away from her native US to France for the sake of her four-year-old daughter, Nahla.

When asked about her wedding, she told InStyle magazine: "I'm not sure where I am going to be living in the next few months, so I have to get that settled first".

"It's the appeal of privacy and a greater sense of safety for Nahla. Because we are followed all the time, she is starting to feel like she is somehow special, and of course she is, but I want her to understand that she's special because of who she is, not because she was born into this celebrity blender."

Halle, 46, says the moving process has taken longer than usual because of her bitter custody battle for Nahla against the child's father, Gabriel Aubry.

She added: "There is turbulence, but this too shall pass."

When she finally does settle down and wed French actor Olivier, Halle - who has been divorced twice, from David Justice and Eric Benét - wants it to be an intimate affair.

She added: "I do know it will be very small. I haven't been to many weddings, but I went to one this weekend with 250 guests. I thought, 'Wow - so this is a wedding, huh?' I've never had that, nor have I wanted that.

"I wasn't even trying to catch the bouquet."

Meanwhile Halle Berry's bitter custody battle looks set to end this week as a judge is ready to decide if she can move her daughter to France for the sake of her privacy
