IDOLS winner Khaya Mthethwa's new single Move has caused a Twitter stir after rapper JR posted negative comments about the song.

The singer thinks Mthethwa's song is boring.

When radio personality Anele Mdoda twitted the lyrics of Mthethwa's song on her Twitter page recently, JR replied: "Mara ya boranyana neh?" (But it is a little boring).

Follow-up comments on the social site showcased both Mthethwa fans and haters .

Some tweets said JR had the right to freedom of speech and others criticised the rapper's comments.

"That's not hate, that's JR's opinion. I myself don't like it at all," went one FpKay.

"When a black person makes it to the top, we are quick to criticise . Khaya u rock," one DJ LadyZee defended her Idol.

We are so quick to crush are one. This is the reason why South Africa finds itself where it is now. And we wonder why we are not progressing in our personal. It's the things that we sow. The mediocrity of the things that are uttered clearly defines the people behind those words and at the end defines your future. Before we utter anything, let us look at ourselves, what have we achieved, what does my future look like, am I happy with where I am. Let us do something to build each other not to break each other. And I say again, be careful of the words you say, they must just come back to haunt you. Have a fruitful and blessed week ahead of you.

I agree with JR the song is completely forgettable.

"We are so quick to crush are one. This is the reason why South Africa finds itself where it is now" SA is where it is now because unfortunately we celebrate mediocre, even our president is a mediocre, there is nothing outstanding/special about Khaya's voice anyone can sing like that and I am disappointed that he actually trained in music and has little to show for.
