Chomee a proud graduate

SULTRY dancer and musician Thulisile Madihlaba, better known as Chomee, has graduated with a diploma in media studies at the University of Johannesburg.

Chomee, who majored in marketing, was one of about 200 students who attended the graduation ceremony on Tuesday this week.

The 25-year-old Jiva Sexy singer said because of her busy schedule the diploma course took her four years to complete as a part-time student.

"I am very proud of myself. So is my music stable 999 and family, who are here to support me," Chomee said.

"It is unfortunate that my mother could not attend because she is not well. It took a lot of hard work to balance my career and studies, but I am very happy I made it."

About juggling her busy showbiz career and studies, Chomee said: "I remember one particular incident while I was writing exams. I had a show outside Johannesburg and tired as I was afterwards, I had to rush home to catch up on some work".

Chomee added that she intended reading for an honours degree in media studies.

Ja this is a good example for the kids. There has been to many stories of domestic violence and other childish antics by celebrities lately.
