At Flemza, I am not an expert when it comes to AIDS, but I believe HIV related illnesses are different, one may suffer from skin problem, whilst others may suffer from pneumonia and meningitis, and it won't affect people the same way depending on their lifestyles before they got sick. Only God determines when a person is born and die, death of HIV infected people has got nothing to do with ignorence, please do not generalize, be greatful that you have lived this long and empower other affected people.

Sis Noluvo Ntapu I sympathise with you and your family during this trying time. I hope other parents will be as bold as you, if more people come out, people will stop stigmatizing the disease.

Condolences Mama, Let your daughter ret in peace. I support you all the way, start that awareness campaing in your area and we will come assist to spread the message. We have lost sense of compassion, we dont feel pity for other people, as long as is not family we don't care, it is sad. During the Apparheid years people use to support each other, especially black people, we have changed with this Freedom, I dont know who we are now, look at the types of rapes that are happening now, anything from Babies to dogs is raped, Men have lost it and women are following as well. No more respect of Elderly people, our kids smoke like their grand Fathers, they drink alcohol like drinking tea, they are lazy even to clean themselves, we are doomed. Be strong and pray to God to help us to help ourselves.

She was taking good care of herself 4 the past 13 years but her liver just give up on her.

@Flemza, it's shocking to read such comment from you, the fact that since 1990 you are in (good health), doesn't mean those who die they deserve it. No one deserve this desease and some people were infected by their wedded wives and husbands.

Im not infected but I am affected by this illness since I have lost 5 family members including my young sis. She was taking medication but she was very weak and couldn't survive as sometimes this involves pnemonia, TB, menangitis,not accepting it and etc, it's depend how the body respond and in lot of other things too.

Your 5 boys, was that before or after u being diagnosed? I hope you don't infect other women delibarately as we speak and you have never did.

IF YOU ARE TOO CLEVER AND NOT NEGLIGENT HOW DID YOU GET AIDS/ HIV + at the first place. Sometimes its not abt being clever or stupid, or maybe we have to condomise with our husbands too, as long as this word TRUST still exist we are all at risk b'coz som people betray trust.though we have to do anything we can to prevent and also we have to SUPPORT all those who have it b'coz its not the end of the world, if we give them all the support and love,they can live,this is not a death sentence as they can even live longer than those who r not infected, only God knows when.

Many parents gets confused and abandone their kids, some bcz they had big mouths and it bcmz difficult to accept when their kids are sick.
HIV n Aids is here, whether pointing fingers ad pretending to so clean and clever, the truth of the matter is as you read this the truth about your status is known by you and your God.

If we still talk about people who did not condomise , abstein etc, where do we leave those were unfortunate who contracted this sickness due to the high rate of rape, unfaithfull marriage parteners and accidents incidents?? finding faults wont take us anywhere

South Africa wise up, be realistic and face the truth, we are all infected or affected and all we need is a solution to the problem that has risen, put brains together on how can the cure come quick like cholera back in the days it was uncurable, and also TB, but look today.
