NO EASY ROAD: Queens of Dance Nonkululeko Vilakazi and Thandolwethu Saliwa

 Some have even [falsely] accused us of being romantically involved with married men 

They are not only raunchy and over the top, the four-member group has now trimmed itself to two girls.

Nonkululeko Vilakazi aka Miss NV and Thandolwethu Saliwa aka Tatiana are the only female kwaito group in South Africa.

"It is no secret that we are the hottest act at the moment. We have left men and fans dripping sweat with our dance moves and sexy bodies," says Saliwa.

The two established the group in 2008. They added another member the same year and strengthened the group with Candy the following year.

"After our contract expired, we decided to go our own way.

"This is the best decision we have ever made. It has not only strengthened the group but there is more fluidity in terms of managing ourselves," says Saliwa, 23.

She adds that though they are enjoying both singing and dancing, their strongest point remains dance.

The group recently released a 10-track album titled Diamond Treasure. The album has kwaito, house and Afro-pop tracks.

"The title refers to our survival in the music industry. It has not been easy but we thank God that we are still around and doing well," says Vilakazi, 22.

The Queens of Dance have already produced two albums and have worked with producers DJ Clock, MonoT, Dr Duda and DJ Kwazee, among others.

Vilakazi says "the media has not always been fair on our group".

"False stories have been written about us. Some have even accused us of being romantically involved with married men.

"We are sexy but not loose. We know what we are all about. We want to set a good example to talented youth who want a career in showbiz."

Why is that when Girls proclaim themselves not to be loose or wild they actualy are?? These girls are like all girls who pretend to be clean when they know they are not....girls please even if your loose is not an issue our society accepts any behavior these days so if you show your punanani is still fine with our society.
