Eleven-year-old Kirk Glover was the son of Usher's ex-wife Tameka Foster.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported that Kirk died on Saturday morning at a local hospital.

The boy was run over on July 6 by a watercraft on Lake Lanier, according to the Georgia department of natural resources.

He had been hospitalised with a major brain injury.

Lake Lanier is about 64km northeast of Atlanta.

Before the accident, Usher, whose full name is Usher Raymond, had been in a legal battle with his ex-wife arising from a custody fight over their two sons.

Maybe this will make the couple see that fighting over money is really not worth it.
They have now lost something far more important.
