The 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' star said that despite being born affluent, she deserves her success.

She told L'Uomo Vogue: "Yes I was born rich; it was a classic Californian lineage: lavishness and ostentation, luxury mansions with pools, private clubs, exclusive friendships, and luxury cars".

"Despite the affluence, at only 31 I've been able to build my own empire in the world of entertainment and, although looks and friendships are important, I want the new generation to understand that if you don't believe in yourself and in your own ideas, you go nowhere."

Kim - who helped her entire family shoot to fame - insists she didn't have her own identity as a youngster.

She admitted: "I've always been very shy, ever since I was a girl: I copied and did everything my sister Kourtney asked me to do, even when at school she would put me in embarrassing situations with boys. She was my idol."

Twice-married Kim - who is currently in the process of divorcing Kris Humphries - says her relationship with Kanye West is going to be a more private matter.

She said: "In the past I suffered a lot because of my honesty, and when it didn't work I was criticised and treated badly: I can only say that now, with him, I'm happy."

@Prudence!, come down, all I'm saying is the rich kids have thier own play grounds and play together, this is why most end up in the entertainmant industry as they socialise together eventually some sleep together, for example look at Rev.Run's kids from Run-DMC on thier reality TV show they always have this other spoiled riched kids we don't know about but they hang out together, tomorrow the same kids will end up in the entertainment industry just because we didn't know about them then it doesn't mean they are nobodies, to someone at the top in Hollywood they are somebodie's kid or business partner and that makes them connected and important to someone at the top in Hollywood, look at that kid that's always hanging out with Witney's daughtor, we don't know him but he is a spoiled brat who eventually will end up famouse one day we just don't know who's kids is he and how powerfull are thier parents in Hollywood or in the enterteiment industry.

"Kim also claimed that her sex tape 'introduced her to the world in a negative way', ...." She acknowledges that the sex tape brought her the publicity and put her into the limelight(even though it' was negative)!! So, who are we to dispute this from the horses arse( oops mouth)?!
