HOST: Bonang Matheba

POPULAR SABC1 show Live will get a revamp over the next few weeks.

The channel will search nationally for a presenter to share the stage with "it" girl Bonang Matheba, pictured.

"The hottest show in the land" lost two of its presenters when Sizwe Dhlomo and Minnie Dlamini resigned last year.

SABC publicity manager Vukile Madlala confirmed that the December road shows the music programme broadcast last year and the pre-recorded shows flighted recently would be the last episodes in which Dhlomo and Dlamini appear.

Madlala said Matheba would be the only presenter of the show for the month. He added: "There are huge plans for the show over the next few weeks. Live is going to change.

"The format will be different and we need someone who will fit the new approach."

Show favourite Matheba, who has been with the show for three years, is thrilled about the new challenge.

"I am very sad to have lost yet another pair of colleagues, but I am also very excited to see where the show is headed," Matheba said.

"Live is one of the biggest shows in the country. I'm excited and humbled by the confidence my team has in me. It will be very challenging to carry a show of this magnitude but also quite exciting."

Dlamini acts in the M-Net soapie The Wild, and the pay station's Mzansi Insider.

Dhlomo presents a show on YFM and MTV Base.

I only watch LIVE just to check their attire other than that i would rather watch Club 808 even thought i don't like their presenters but i love their show. I miss Andile Ncube.

I find it hard for new presenters because Bonang is good so they (new presenters) do not shine and i always notice that they want to imitate Ms mathebe so it will always be a tough competition.

They should take a leaf out of Club 808's Book. That's all I can say,hopefully the revamped live will have better content.

i also just take a sneak peak at Live just to see their attires but am glad my Gal B stayed on. i just hope the new presenters wont try so hard like Minnie (i love the gal but she tried too hard to be like B). Whoeva gets da job, please, jus do u n bring a fresh personality n maybe i myt jus stay tuned n watch a whole hour of Live!
