Im sure this country can do better than this! Dancing and music is not the only thing we can do as south africans! No company wants a person with 2 years dancing experience never!

What the country need are competitions that can bring more value to the lives of the citizens of this country and the economy of the country.
We need competitions that can for example encourage South Africans to go into farming, to start making use of thusing the land

Idols is becoming more like Coca Cola popstars with all these black contestants.. The show is losing value and credibility, thus the AR's (audiance ratings) are dropping by the day.. The directors & executive producers need to cut down the influx of these black contestants, otherwise they'll just be a flop to modern society & never make it anywhere in the popular music genres.

Uncompromising

The ANC needs all these silly programmes in order to make it seem as if they are creating jobs for the youth. The ANC gets excited when the see the youth on Jika maJika. They be like "see, those kids can go far. As long as they stick to what the know best, dancing and singing. The NYDA will take care of the rest". Need i say more.........?!

our country seem to have no creativity when it comes to entertainment,we have copied Survivor, weakest link,SA got talent..they will even go to the extent of getting a look-a-like presenter. its really pathetic, with IDOLS they even copy the theme(colour, music)

I think we should clamp down this fly by night Colleges that are teaching this stupid courses like modelling, acting etc because we currently have enough actors already, but very worring is that they are only lining to act in genetions & the few other soapies and dramas that this country has to offer and only once in five yrs we release a good movie with 3 or 4 actors and the rest just bunch of extras.

we cant afford to have the majority of our youth only skilled (educated) enough to smile on a camera or this current bunch of 1ll.eterate 1d1ots that happen to appear on our tv screen (so-called celebs) who are copy-cats of americans (talking copy & paste as it is).

we cant be leaving in a country where when we want to eat our delicious dish of Umngqusho we have to import maize.

lets inform one another to go for real education - manufacturing, engineering, technology, agriculture and bussness studies not this c.rap.

we want to rush and be like america while they did all these basics before even the appartheid was invented.

all of us included coz even there so called superior white south africans never invented anything except appartheid, they must stop claiming to be clever because they are just agents for european, american & asian products by vertue of appartheid and their skin colour.

Ai Sleezy, so you telling us that if the majority of contestants were white, the show would not lose its value and credibility????????????

I agree with you on the fact that the majority of contestants are blacks. but if white people dont wanna come out and showcase what they got, then what???? Black people will jump at an opportunity like that, one thing you gotta learn about black people is, whenever an opportunity presents itself we go for it we dont sit on our butts and wait for a miracle.

The way i see it you mean even if these white people were the majority and most of them didn't even have what it takes to cut it into idols as long as we see 1000s of white faces that will be ok. no i dont think so. Any way the show is not for blacks or whites. Its for everyone who thinks they can become the next so called idol.
