A Sunday newspaper reports that Zindzi Mandela, daughter of Nelson Mandela, owes her landlord more than R200000.

The owner of the posh property in Athol, Johannesburg, has reportedly approached the courts for assistance.

Earlier this year Zindzi was reportedly owing the City of Johannesburg R500000 for rates and services. The property was about to be auctioned when relatives came to her rescue.

In June Madiba's grandchild died in a car accident after the driver, a son of a partner of one of Mandela's daughters, was allegedly driving drunk.

Mandela's grandson Mandla is accused by a heritage organisation that oversees Mandela's legacy of going behind its back to get R8million from the National Lottery Board.

Madiba is the embodiment of excellence and does not need these shenanigans around his good name.
