A GANG boss at Kokstad Prison has been singing a particularly sweet version of jailhouse rock.
A female warder has been doing a roaring business, pandering to the sexual whims of jailbirds - at R1000 a pop.
Our report elsewhere in the paper today says she's one of a clique of jailers who have been servicing the carnal needs of prisoners, at a fee.
After their steamy romp was captured on CCTV, authorities threw the book at the gang leader: "You cannot have your cake and eat it too."
The killjoy who captured the sweaty action on camera was apparently drugged to sleep by the wily wardress, who was hellbent on slipping between the prisoner's sheets. For her troubles, she was locked up overnight with her "client" and duly suspended. Since their commercial activity started, the gang leader, a known escapist, has never bothered to bolt out.
Talk about going beyond the call of duty.
