Standard Bank customers left fuming after bank systems crash

Standard Bank have assured their customers that they are working hard on getting their systems up and running again.

This follows multiple complaints from the bank’s customers on Monday morning saying that they cannot withdraw money, use their bank cards or make internet transfers.

“We apologise for all the technical difficulties that our clients experienced this morning. We confirm, our services are back up and working,” said Standard Bank on their official Facebook page.

A lot of comments followed shortly after the status update by Standard Bank with customers saying they are still experiencing problems despite the bank’s claim that systems are back up.

Nompumelelo Mpumie Ngcamu said: Yep internet banking still down. Come on standard bank its month end we need to pay bills.

Hendrick Kapa commented: It's a trend now for standard bank to inconvenience its clients

Jarrod Northcote was also not satisfied and said: So what's happened with debit orders? I haven't seen any notifications come through yet?!?!

Charmaine Mare went to buy groceries and the purchase was declined at the till.

"Still down!!! Went to shop and everything was declined! Disgusted."
